Oral history, 1988.

Interview conducted by Alan Cherry as part of the LDS Afro-American Oral History Project by the Charles Redd Center for Western Studies at Brigham Young University on 7 March 1988. Gillo describes his early life in the Sudan and Yuganda, Africa as a Catholic. He talks about becoming deaf and his education experiences, including his decision to come to the United States to attend Gallaudet College. He discusses his teaching experiences as a member of that church.
